A boy

This is my son. Isn't his face beautiful? As I lay there looking at the monitor while the tech swirled her little wand around my belly, my heart fluttered with excitement at seeing this tiny being tucked safely inside me. I didn't care whether it was a girl or a boy, I just wanted a healthy baby but when they said "It's a boy" I saw my husband's face light up. He loves Alice and she's his princess but I think every guy wants a son too. One of each...aren't we lucky?

I have to admit that boys scare the heck out of me. I have not been able to figure out how their minds work in my 38 years of living...I doubt I'll be able to get it all sorted out now. At least I'll have a shot at bringing up my son the way I'd want a man to be, compassionate, repectful, and loving.

    Congrat's on the baby boy to come. I am sure that you will do a great job of raising him. Just remember when they do something that is not as we would do it, that is just them becoming their own person. They have to make mistakes to learn as we did.

    boys are awesome,don't worry...
    the cooler you are the cooler he will be..trust me on this one...I learned with number three.

    I only have a son so I can't compare - but I'd like to say that raising a son is great and easy and it's good to "train" him from the beginning on how he should treat girls in the future.

    I have one girl and one boy...and it has been amazing. They were always very, very close....and though I had 3 brothers, I didn't know if I was prepared for my own little guy. But he was - and has been - a complete delight. I thought that as the years went by, he and his sister who have been best friends through the years, would drift apart. But at 17 and 14 they are as close as ever with their own inside jokes and memories to share. You have an absolute amazing journey ahead of you and I am so thrilled!
